Bollig Engineering is proud to announce our sponsorship of Blaine Carroll, a local youth bull rider from Sacred Heart, MN, for this upcoming season! We understand the importance of supporting local talent and are excited to stand behind Blaine as he embarks on his journey through the exciting world of professional bull riding. Let’s learn more about Blaine…
Getting Started in Bull Riding
Blaine’s journey into the world of bull riding isn’t just a hobby; it’s a family tradition deeply ingrained in his roots. Growing up in Sacred Heart, Minnesota, he was practically born with a cowboy spirit, inherited from his father who also started bull riding at the same age as Blaine. With such love for the sport in his family, it’s no surprise that Blaine quickly found his passion in the adrenaline-pumping sport of bull riding. At just 15 years old, Blaine has already made significant waves in the bull riding community. His remarkable talent has seen him clinch the top spot in the state multiple times, an impressive feat for someone his age. His journey to success hasn’t been without its challenges, though. The thrill of riding atop a raging bull comes hand in hand with the risk of injury, but Blaine’s determination and love for the sport have always prevailed.
Gaining Skills, Experiences & Friends
One of the pivotal moments in Blaine’s bull riding journey was when he joined the Minnesota Highschool Bull Riding Association. This platform not only provided him with the opportunity to hone his skills but also allowed him to create and connect with lifelong friends who also shared his passion. Through this association, Blaine found a sense of community and support that has been instrumental in his growth as a rider.
For Blaine, bull riding is more than just a sport; it’s a lifestyle. The rush of adrenaline, the camaraderie among riders, and the thrill of competition are what drive him to push himself to new heights. “It’s just you and the animal, a surreal experience,” states Blaine in an interview with Q102 Radio. But his love for the sport extends beyond the arena. Blaine enjoys the opportunity to travel to different events, experiencing new places and adventures along the way. It’s not just about winning titles; it’s about the journey and the memories made along the path to success.

Work Hard, Play Hard
Despite his busy schedule, Blaine still manages to excel both academically and athletically. As a member of the Varsity wrestling team for Quad County and a consistent presence on the honor roll at MACCRAY High School, he embodies the perfect balance between sportsmanship and scholarship. His dedication to both his studies and his passion for bull riding serves as an inspiration to his peers and a testament to his unwavering work ethic.
Chasing Big Goals
Looking ahead, Blaine has his sights set on the upcoming National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) coming up July 10-20, 2024 in Rock Springs, WY. Fresh off the heels of Bareback School in Rapid City, SD, he’s eager to add this additional dimension to his repertoire of skills. With each competition, Blaine continues to evolve as a rider, constantly striving to push the boundaries of his abilities.
