The water tower has been taken offline, and pressure is being maintained by a temporary pressure vessel. Residents may experience temporary reduction in water pressure while the water tower is being worked on.
The contractor has began hauling in equipment for the project. They plan to drain the water tower starting the week of May 4th. Once the tower is drained the city will be using a temporary pressure vessel to maintain water pressure during construction.
Funding for the City of Okabena projects is 41.3% grants: $6.37M of $15.43M Total
The City of Okabena, Contractors, and Bollig Engineering ask that everyone stay clear of construction zones, obey construction signs, and be safe and cautious around construction equipment. If you have questions or concerns about the project, please contact Tim O’Toole, on-site Resident Project Representative (RPR), or Jordan Odegard, Project Engineer.
