Engineering Intern Job Responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to support our licensed engineers and other team members on various infrastructure projects and corresponding activities. Duties will include:
- Assist Construction Services Manager and other Bollig staff with construction observation and documentation activities and project management
- Assist with construction staking and as-built record keeping
- Support engineering and design staff on projects as needed
- Assist with internal project activities, tracking, prepping for Council meetings, etc.
- Review project specification compliance and quantity tracking
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills and Competencies Desired
- Seeking a degree in civil/environmental engineering, construction management, or related major
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to learn and attention to detail
- Ability to make a positive impression with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors for extended periods of time
- Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks in different site conditions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Aptitude in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
