We are currently seeking a Construction Services Representative to join our construction services team on municipal infrastructure projects across Southwest Minnesota serving as an integral part of a team-centered environment and sharing our passion for the development of rural communities consistent with Bollig’s purpose and values.
Construction Services Representative — Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Resident Project Representative, providing construction observation and general oversight of municipal infrastructure project activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications and contract documents
- Conduct extensive onsite observation to monitor installation activities, materials, equipment, testing and inspections throughout all phases of project construction
- Serve as the primary communication link between construction contractors, Bollig project staff, city personnel, residents and all project stakeholders to carefully coordinate decisions and planned work, limit conflicts and minimize community disturbances
- Build and maintain positive, team-centered relationships with construction contractors to ensure delivery of an exceptional project experience for Bollig clients
- Prepare and maintain all required construction records and documentation and distribute to appropriate parties for review
- Attend regular client and construction progress meetings and represent Bollig professionally in all project settings
- Assist with field data collection to support project planning and design activities
- Support Bollig staff with building and maintaining client relationships and meeting promised project deliverables
- Meet project deadlines and adhere to established budgets and schedules
- Obtain and maintain required certifications and attend industry training as necessary
Construction Services Representative — Qualifications Required
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment and adapt quickly to changing field conditions
- Self-motivated, coachable and organized, with a naturally curious and creative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to consistently deliver a positive project experience for clients, contractors and community stakeholders
- Flexibility to work across multiple project locations with occasional overnight travel as required
- Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D for viewing and editing construction drawings, and PDF editing software such as Bluebeam Revu
- Interest in or passion for rural infrastructure and small-community challenges
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning with an entrepreneurial can-do approach
