The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) recently awarded $20.7 million through the Programa de Desarrollo de Pequeñas Ciudades (SCDP) to support infrastructure, housing, and commercial projects across Greater Minnesota. We’re proud to share that twelve Bollig client communities collectively received more than $7.8 million in funding in this year’s awards!
Investing in Small Cities Infrastructure and Economic Development
SCDP grants are intended to help small communities embark on projects that have a direct, positive impact—particularly those that strengthen local infrastructure and vitality. Eligible project types include:
- Public facility upgrades such as water, wastewater, wastewater treatment plants, water towers, and streetscape improvements
- Housing rehabilitation to improve safety, efficiency, and accessibility
- Commercial property improvements that revitalize business districts
These investments help communities address urgent needs, improve livability, and lay a foundation for future growth. For more details on all the communities receiving SCDP funding and the scope of their awarded projects, read the full DEED press release.
