McKenzie and Brouwer Join Bollig Inc
Dave McKenzie, P.E., has joined Bollig Inc and serves a Project Manager with an emphasis on railroad engineering. With over 40 years of experience working on transportation and railroad track-related projects, Dave’s expertise lies in track design, grade crossing safety, permits, train operation analysis, grant administration, and railroad negotiations. Through his experience in the railroad industry, Dave has a keen understanding of how railroads operate and has developed relationships with most of the railroads in the Upper Midwest.
Dave worked with another engineering firm on railroad-related projects for over 20 years. His numerous projects included track design, railroad negotiations, construction administration, crossing safety and quiet zones. He also worked for MnDOT and Railroad Service Inc.
Dave and his wife Karla live in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and have three grown children and three grandchildren. In their spare time they love to travel, play golf and, play with the grandkids.
Chris Brouwer has also joined Bollig Inc in Willmar as a Program Manager.
Chris is a recently retired Marine Corp Officer with over 21 years of service leading and managing diverse groups of individuals and projects in challenging environments. Chris’s background includes managing the testing of U.S. Naval amphibious ship programs, engineering communications networks, engineering infrastructure management of deployed Marine bases, and training partnered Army forces.
Chris earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Averett University and holds a certification in Program Management from the Department of Defense. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from St. Cloud State University.
Chris is married to Sara Brouwer and together they have four boys; Nathan, Jake, Joe, and Tim.
